Our
meeting in August 2006 was a very special one because we were able to
pay tribute to our good friend Dr. Chris Cory.
I received an e-mail from Chris’ wife Kathleen, that Chris had recently been awarded the Merlin Award for his
25 years of magical service from the International Brotherhood of Magicians and she wanted to surprise him with it at
our meeting. Upon hearing this, the Ring 280 Board of Directors unanimously decided to present Chris with an addtional
award of our own for his constant support of our Ring by performing for us at almost EVERY meeting and his generosity
towards the other members with instruction, friendship and even donations to our raffles.
Congratulations Chris, you deserve it.
